In my opinion, this must have been a giantic feat for the people who created the 3-D city of Rome. And that it is interesesting that they can acutally create Rome in 3-D. Who knows maybe in the near future they would have more 3-D countires like China?

www.livescience.com: Rome can be built in a day final copy
" Rome can be built in day." When I first read this title I pondered about the fact that people usually say, "Rome can't be built in a day". The title intrigued me and pulled me into the article. Apparently, the article was about a new computer program designed from the University of Washington that could reconstruct a 3-D city in hours from using numerous photos from tourists. It would preform this magnificent feat by mending thousands of photos from different views. For example, they digitally created the beautiful country of Rome from tourists photos which were tagged "Rome" or "Roma" from the widely-known photo- sharing website, Flicker. Observing each image, the computers took a total 21 hoursto make the 3-D city of Rome. So, a viewer can actually observe Rome's famous landmarks, like the Sistine Chapel and the Pantheon.
